Revitalizing Roofs: Enhancing Ventilation and Driving Transformation, This concept suggests an extensive redesign to improve cross-ventilation, addressing a prevalent problem of inadequate ventilation creating discomfort in residential settings. The targeted houses are currently experiencing issues due to limited ventilation caused by a single opening facing the street. To address this, the idea proposes a systematic alteration of the current roof structure, segmenting it into defined sections and rethinking openings within each portion. This method tries to maximize the input of fresh air from one side while enabling the outflow of stale air from the other, resulting in a continuous and effective air circulation throughout the house. Furthermore, the creation of verandah spaces will act as critical decision to make it shared. The modification of openings will allow occupants to fine-tune ventilation based on their preferences and external conditions, providing a flexible solution. The project's strategic changes aim to ease the problems associated with poor ventilation and use of outdoor spaces.
