The khazan lands are interspersed with mangroves, gradually taking over the landscape. A revamp to a khazan system is endeavoured by building channels in the existing beds to promote the coexistence of mangroves and fishing practices in this ever-changing context that faces the volatility of water level. Local people gather from around the community to capture fish in the khazan region and provide fish for the community. Such community-led effort seeks to transform abandoned rice fields into an aquaculture environment with willfully planted mangroves in the midst of uninhabited Khazans. To protect their history amid changing landscapes, this effort of uniting villagers seeks to carefully facilitate the transition towards fishing. The design strategies employed for the intervention took into account the existing conditions. The aim was to create linked services and services positioned near the edge, facilitating easy communication for fish farming. Single modules will come together to form a cluster and create a functional space. These modules are easily disassembled and rearranged to meet specific space requirements. The advantages are anticipated from the project, including greater fish output, better livelihoods for the neighborhood, lessening the strain on marine fisheries, enhancing coastal resilience, bettering water quality, and boosting biodiversity.
