Reading between the Lines

Applied Typography is the coming together of visual communication and industrial design. The applications of type in industrial design are vast, from packaging, and branding to large-scale installation. Learning about the usage of type in small point sizes to large spaces like signages was a takeaway from this studio. Experimenting with type and material proved that type need not be 2D.  I tried to make an interactive installation through type and material by using a technique called scanimation originating through moire patterns. This technique allows you to animate without any screen or software.
