Nebula: A luminaire for premium cafes and restaurants

The objective is to design a ceiling luminaire to fit the lighting requirements of the sitting and dining areas of premium cafes. The luminaire itself should enhance the ambience of the space through the lighting and the form of the fixture.  The luminaire system must emit low-accent lighting into the space that it is being installed in. It would not be in constant use during the daytime hours in order to promote more sunlight in the space, acting primarily as a statement piece. During the evening hours, it will be switched on to enhance the space through its lighting.
