Urban Mosaic of Naranpura

Naranpura is one of the oldest residential areas in Ahmedabad's west. It became a part of the city's municipal borders expansion in 1958. This resulted in a minor movement of residents from adjacent areas, culminating in the name Naranpura village being changed to Naranpura Colony after 1960. The purpose of this study is to assist the working group, which consists of a sociologist, an economist, and three community members, by providing a complete analysis of four areas of Naranpura: preliminary observations; transformation; street network and architectural forms; and land development. The portfolio is divided by tiers.
