integrated Township Policy allows private developers to develop residential townships in the outskirts of cities and involve large tracts of greenfield land that is under a single ownership. This studio project will be based on a large parcel of land that has single ownership and is a greenfield site ie. developer-driven. The design of the project will involve preparing a three-dimensional masterplan with strategies for street network, public space, neighborhood design, landscape, and strategic zoning. Students will be required to prepare an urban design masterplan for these developments with an emphasis on creating livable neighborhoods that explore the idea if future living through their designs. The studio outcome will include the preparation of a graphic-based presentation and a portfolio.
