An Equitable and Sustainable AeroTransPolis at NAINA

Navi Mumbai Airport Influenced Notified Area (NAINA) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created for planned growth within a 25km radius of the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport through the Town Planning Scheme mechanism. The region's natural and infrastructural limitations present a challenge for the emerging growth centre situated between busy economic corridors. With a focus on an equitable and sustainable approach, the TPS proposal maximises those constraints to enable the region's true potential as an AeroTransPolis. By questioning the accepted practices, the current planning strategies and regulations are reinterpreted in order to create a strong micro-planning model.
