THREADS OF URBAN FABRIC IN VASNA

The study focuses on how Vasna, a major industrial and commercial center in western India, developed from a small village to a major Ahmedabad district. Vasna features a variety of architectural styles and has a 120-foot ring road that connects it to the city. Important changes like the expansion of public space and the Shreyas flyover indicate its transformation into a busy urban hub with high residential buildings. Obstacles such as insufficient infrastructure underscore the necessity for enhanced road connection. The analysis of Vasna's road system emphasizes how crucial it is to improve road infrastructure and walkability. The need of maximizing Floor Space Index (FSI) for effective urban expansion in this mostly residential area is also emphasized.
