This research is about work zone safety and management, specifically focusing on the Indian construction landscape in urban areas. Work zones, often pervasive in urban areas, demand meticulous traffic management to ensure the safety of road users and construction workers. This study adopts a comprehensive approach covering literature reviews, on-site assessments, and in-depth analysis to address the multiple aspects of work zone safety. The findings of this analysis became the base for the design of a checklist for reviewing the traffic control and safety parameters for AMC and contractors.
