Designing An Artist's abode in Darjeeling

The studio, Engineering Sustainability, is an introduction to the impact of design, materials, and technologies on the performance of a building. It is an exploration of the methods and software used to analyze and optimize the energy efficiency of a building through consideration of various parameters. The course also equips us with various standard codes related to sustainable design and construction such as the Energy Conservation Building Code( ECBC). Through this course, we have been able to analyze the performance of our own dwelling and was assigned Darjeeling City and had to study its climatic conditions as well as design a residence for an artist while taking into account all of the city's climate.
