In the passive comfort lab (PC-lab) we learn about climate analysis, shading analysis, Building physics, measurements of environmental variables and instruments, psychometric charts, and load calculations, alongside exploring passive design strategies and various Thermal comfort models. Practical application of this knowledge is demonstrated through a course project- icebox Exercise and building case studies, supplemented by site visits and measurements of the building envelope by various instruments. The curriculum includes instruction on geometric modeling and simulation of buildings at the Envelope level, incorporating schedules for occupancy and equipment.
