Design of Exhibition Space using Timber

This course revolves around enabling students to grasp the properties of various materials and their crucial role in shaping structural behavior, essential for effective design. Throughout the semester, the studio methodically guides students through the step-by-step process of structure design, utilizing both manual calculations and software. The current project involves crafting an exhibition space for Garba Ground at CEPT University using timber, aligning seamlessly with the studio's overarching theme of nature-inspired architectural design. Students focus on planning and designing structures, emphasizing stability through weight distribution. This hands-on approach results in an improved ability to create resilient structures capable of withstanding diverse angles and movements.
