The research is part of an inquiry approaching the goal of improving outdoor thermal comfort and demonstrating a neighborhood that can be retrofitted and also take into account the thermal comfort of the pedestrian zone. The main aim is to develop a framework that could be used in different zones coming under the same LCZ classification in hot and dry climates. The study area chosen is the Old City of Jaipur which is already heavily built and has been going through a lot of transformations in current times. For this three different typologies in the old city of Jaipur are identified with different existing conditions for analysis and comparison to find out an optimum solution.
