Court of Arbitration, Gandhinagar

The project involved translocating Moshe Safdie's proposed design for a court in Jerusalem to a site in Gandhinagar , facing the Vidhan Sabha. Studying the work of Kahn (Safdie's mentor) in the similar context provided ideas as to how the spanning network could be developed.
Taking the local climate into consideration, the buildings were recessed to provide courtyards and corridor spaces which would shade the interiors from heat and glare.
