Department of Botany- Through Materials of Construction

The studio focused on writing about a building, divided into three modules. The module introduced us to various texts and how the buildings are analyzed and written about. The second module focused on the campus work done by Ar. Uttam Jain in Jodhpur, JNVU, and MBM University. The buildings were studied utilizing archival drawings, and the building was described and analyzed through various parameters. The third module introduced us to key texts and allowed us to position the buildings in the narrative of the architectural history of post- Independent India. The semester concluded with students delivering lectures on selected buildings.
