Neighborhood Design

Today’s Indian City’s scenario demand rapid development and that comes at a cost of neglected waste lands and greenbelt sites. The development ignores the city’s need for environmentally respected recreational public spaces. The Green belt site around the city of Ahmedabad was initially proposed to restrict the city sprawl. But the rapid growth and the mismanagement of the proposal ended up leaving the green belt site as an undeveloped area and a place for quasi settlements. It’s now been under pressure of the city’s need for a better lifestyle and housing requirements. This proposal aims at creating a tranquil neighborhood within this green belt site catering to the need of the city while respecting the natural topography and making it pedestrian friendly.
