THE BURROW

Teenagers are at a stage in their lives where they are undergoing significant physical, emotional and social changes. As they develop their own identities and sense of self, they experience both a sense of restlessness and desire for excitement. The Burrow is an attempt to provide this excitement through spatial experiences that pique the curiosity of teens and offer an element of surprise. While the narrow meandering passage opens up to larger activity spaces, the angled walls not only direct movement but also hide nooks & corners and elements such as the pond at the end of the passage, basement games room, niche seating, storage elements, backyard seating, skylights and colourful pocket doors that eventually get revealed as a surprise. The colour palette of the space has been selected in such a way that it matches the energetic and lively atmosphere that the teenagers desire. Colours such as red, blue, yellow, and green can bring this feeling to life, with furniture elements, angled walls and pocket doors given a colour that catches the user's attention which enhances the experience of "Pause and Play" and "Hide and Seek."  For better resolution click on " THE BURROW "
