The Snail's Shell

The Snail's shell is an escape for teenagers from their fast-paced busy life. It offers reading and cooking spaces to help youngsters unwind. Through the use of light-tall volumes and dark-narrow passages, the idea of contrast is explored in the space. The center caters to the needs of both introverts and extroverts through a rectilinear large overground volume for group activities and a curvilinear underground cozy cave for individual activities. A variety of niches are explored in the space for reading and relaxing. A blue-orange color palette is used with a glass and concrete material finish.
