This paper will provide a critical analysis of virtual VR in the design process, serve as a roadmap for integrating the technology into industrial design pedagogy, and offer a first-person account of VR from 13 undergraduate product design students at Cept University. The paper will attempt to gather data that will inspire educators to rethink design studio structures and recognize the benefits of virtual reality in design by focusing on courses and experiments from around the world that use VR as a tool throughout the design process as case studies.
