Objects as Extensions of the Self

In this studio, I explored the relationship between the objects I own and use and their influence in my life. Objects play a critical role in our everyday lives by expanding our bodies and enabling us to engage with the world, they serve as companions to our emotions and stimulate our thoughts. Over the semester, I analysed and documented multiple objects through various lenses according to different themes. I learnt how to associate material and material culture to my identity as well as the objects. Ultimately, I was able to construct narratives, products and compilations responding to the objects.
