Future of augmented senses in the Pirana landfill

It's a series of designed wearables that augment the senses of smell and touch of rag-pickers in Pirana landfill. The rag-pickers are poor people who pick up trash from the landfill, segregate it, sell it to the respective vendors and earn their daily livelihood from it. These wearable artefacts are meant to not only help them face challenges in their daily routine but also contribute towards segregating resources in the wasteland that can be revitalized and reused in the alternate Ahmedabad of 2050.  Collectively, the project hopes to promote the integrated value recovery of waste streams as materials and energy along with empowering people on the site.
