BAALNATYA - Banaras ki Ramleela

Ramayana - Being a Mahakavya is comprised of many shorter Life stories. Maintaining that essence of Narration and Story Telling highlighted in the epic play, design here adapts to the form of BaalNatya- where children are chosen here as audience and also the actors.  Looking at Banaras through the lens of Narration, the city communicates in a vivid manner - articulated through the icons, symbols, materials, colors, superimposed on the urban elements of form Facades, platforms, steps, walls, doors and windows across the city. Kaavad - an extinct artform from rajasthan becomes medium for execution. Click here for full portfolio.
