Discontinuous Connections: Ramlila

Ramlila here is performed through 10 to 30 days depicting each story as a plot for a day. When seen in continuation for days, it unfolds an epic play through performance. People choose some stories to see or some to opt out but that does not alter how their understanding of Ramlila performed by people for people. Disconnections here is considered as the visual disconnection of one point from the other. Despite of being sequential and continuous there are visual barriers which can be created consciously to create visual disconnections. Continuity is taken here as connecting two different volumes or spaces, it can also be in the form of levels. However, breaking the sense of continuity can be done by adding another element between the spaces.
