Data analytics is a future need in various analytical fields and is used widely for providing future insights and trend analysis of the data. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has forty-two departments under which various services are provided. Data collected and generated from these departments through online portals, mobile applications, etc. is stored in the data centre of AMC. This data is further used for reporting and providing a summary of finances, employee reports, department services reports, payroll, citizen birth/death reports, etc. There are various challenges during implementation of services in analysing & storing the data, identifying right beneficiaries, outreach & awareness etc. Study focuses on use of analytics in urban government sector and limited to government provision in city of Ahmedabad.
