Avantika Nagari: Adaptive use of Simhastha Land

One of the four towns where the Kumbh Mela, a significant Hindu event, takes place is Ujjain. The Simhasta Land is used for Kumbh Mela every once in 12 years, where the land is occupied merely for one month. The land remains unutilized for the rest of the period and is used majorly for agricultural purposes. The government restricts the construction of any permanent structures on this land, leading to no development in that area. This raises the need to have a visible positive impact on the economy, and Avantika Nagari is an attempt to fill this gap by 2035.
