Redesigning- The Manek Chowk Street, Old City, Ahmedabad

Manek Chowk Street is a bustling street in the Old City of Ahmedabad. It's a commercial street with both formal and informal commerce. Currently, Vehicular Movement is two-way. It has multiple stakeholders like street vendors, shopkeepers, pedestrians, and vehicles. Because of excessive spillovers at some parts of the site, street vendors, and vehicular movement, no dedicated space is left for pedestrians. Additionally, because of the extensions from the shops, the beauty of the heritage buildings diminishes. The design aims to highlight the heritage buildings and provide a constant and calm movement between the vendors and pedestrians.
