Analysis of Land Use Transportation Integration around Metro Rail Stations of Ahmedabad

Mass transit systems across the world have only succeeded when they have been integrated with the existing and future land uses of the city. There is a symbiotic relationship between the two and cities are making conscious attempts through regulations. There are also market forces that guide these relationships to some extent. The metro rail has recently become operational in Ahmedabad on certain corridors, with a few more to be added in the years to come. The proposal will look at analyzing existing land use and built form in the immediate catchment of the metro stations and also look at real estate potential as per the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy in the GDCR
