Micheal Foucault’s ‘Discipline and Punish’ examines the theories of Control and Power to exert discipline through the production of ‘docile bodies’ as a mechanism of authority in cities. This principle has been examined and critiqued by Feminist theorists in socio-cultural studies, where the panopticgaze mediates control over the ‘Female body’.
