Performance Evaluation of Multimodal Transport System

A multimodal urban transit system generally has four main elements: access leg, egress leg, line haul leg, and transfer stages. The success or failure of a multimodal transit system is contingent on the degree to which it offers passengers a smooth travel experience. In addition, it depends on the degree to which the current operations of various modalities meet the demand. In this setting, evaluating the performance of these systems and identifying their flaws becomes essential. In order to achieve this objective, the present study seeks to build a methodology for evaluating the operational performance of the existing multimodal transportation system and identifying policy measures to improve its performance.
