Estimating the non-exhaust emission of the electric vehicles

The benefit of electric vehicles (EVs) in terms of NOx reduction is well known, however there is considerable controversy around their impact on particulate matter (PM). EVs still produce particulate matter (PM) despite having no exhaust pipes. Additionally, because of their batteries, EVs typically weigh more than standard vehicles. This study will examine the most recent research on PM emissions from battery-powered EVs. This includes studies that look into the connection between weight and non-exhaust emissions, examine how much lighter EVs are compared to regular cars on the Indian market, and look into EV PM emissions and how they relate to those of conventional cars.
