POP - UP URBANISM

The project is known as pop-up urbanism which provides a temporary laboratory to test the short-term, low-cost, scalable interventions and policies, effects, financial costs, benefits, and pitfalls of projects before fully committing to them. By experiencing changes to the urban environment first hand, citizens can also better decide if they want them to remain permanent.

The design principle is more focused on creating more people oriented, walkable and bike able streetscapes that encourage social interaction, physical activity and sustainable transportation. The design is more focused on creating engaging and interactive public spaces that encourage community participation and interaction which helps that area to improve the aesthetic of the neighbourhood and provide opportunities for community engagement.
