P-LEISURE: Making Space For Women

After analysing the activities of men and women in Chandigarh, it was concluded that leisure works completely different for men and women. It is very easy to design using the standards that are applicable only to men as men become our default, similarly public spaces are scarcely ever designed for women. An added layer to the problem is the lack of leisure spaces available for women during the night. This project focuses on providing women with ample space to relax and experience leisure during the evening hours as well.
