BHOPAL, A City built on Inclusion

The goal of the development plan studio for spring 2022 was to examine planning techniques and use them in the city of Bhopal. An extensive approach outlining the procedures required to accomplish the studio’s aims and objectives is often included in the development plan for a studio. The studio has provided exercises to advance into the planning process since the urban planning mechanism is a complicated one that requires lateral and technical awareness at multiple levels. The method was separated into iterative steps. The studio is proposing a development plan for the Bhopal region in group of four where primary analysis at City level was done in group of eleven. Bhopal is known as Hindusthan ka Dil and the City of Lakes, which is located in the state of Madhya Pradesh in the middle of India. Bhopal is renowned for its natural reserve and rich legacy. Bhopal’s expansion has now reached its southernmost point. We envision Bhopal as a city focused on inclusion through connectivity to support equitable and sustainable development as part of Development Plan Studio 2022–23. The goal is to achieve social accessibility, economic diversity, and spatial compactness.
