The study focuses on understanding residential electric lighting usage patterns for twelve apartments classified primarily based on different sky component factors in Ahmedabad (Hot and Dry climate) from November 2022-March 2023. A field study was undertaken by collecting lux measurements at 15 min intervals for a week in the living rooms of each household. This research aims to identify the following: 1) Analyze the minimum required vertical Illuminance 2) Categorize occupants based on their usage pattern: - Active and Passive Users.
