In this research concept of Digital Twin in construction industry is highlighted which has been around since the beginning of the 21st century, and it is now at a position where it is likely to be adopted widely in the near future, which is used in many applications of industry sectors include aerospace, automobile, healthcare, construction, and systems engineering. A Digital Twin collects information in real time and applies this information to create a digital model of a real object. Since this technology is relatively limited to the construction industry, perhaps implementing it in construction projects is vital as it is considered most unorganized due to its traditional approach and complex nature, which are subject to numerous risks throughout its life cycle. The base of research uses design science methodology which highlights major issues caused in construction projects such as lack of transparency, loss of information, cost overrun, delayed completion, safety issues, and wastages. To solve these issues, the digital twin model is created using BIM modelling, which simulates real-time information in the virtual world.
