Studying the paddy straw consumption in industries in Punjab using Sentinel 2 imagery

Stubble burning is a decades-old practice that pollutes the air in Northern India. Over the last few years, the centre and the state have executed a range of interventions, from subsiding residue management implements to promoting the industrial use of stubble. Studying the effectiveness of these policy measures is critical for a sustained policy push toward zero burning.
