The project exercise is an important part of the Design of Steel Structures course. Here, we take an existing steel truss design and analyse the structure manually and using STAAD PRO. Then, after identifying the maximum member forces, we identify the sections required for the truss members, the columns and the base plates, and generate drawings for the connections. Here, we have generated 3 different alternatives for the truss members. The different trusses are made of: .Double Equal Angle Sections .Double Unequal Angle Sections .Single Equal Angle Sections
