It is possible to co-create with the makers to achieve sustainable design solutions. This collaborative approach allows more diverse perspectives and expertise to be brought to the table, resulting in more effective and holistic solutions. The engagement of makers and architects with their creativity and problem-solving abilities can help to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. This research study investigates how co-creation with makers and architects can help achieve sustainable design solutions. While co-creation, communication, and organization strategies are essential. This research aims to understand communication and organization strategies and examine and identify the communication and organization strategies used throughout the co-creation process with makers in the Indian context. A detailed analysis of the co-creation process was carried out with the case of Kakani Associates and their relationship with the local masons and Rohtak Dome Masons while exploring the different structural systems for spanning systems through the co-creation process to achieve sustainability. In addition, the research investigates the makers' and architects' perspectives on sustainability, as well as the communication and organization strategies that makers and architects use during the process, and to develop and test communication tools for architects and makers. The findings of this research contribute to understanding how co-creation can help achieve sustainability in the built environment and provide insights into the communication and organization strategies used in the co-creation process.
