Innovation and Intervention: Central Library J.N.V.U

The studio was divided into three modules, with the first focusing on formal writing about buildings and a site visit to Uttam Jain's buildings. The second aimed to contextualize the building within the time it was constructed followed by reading seminars, and the third comprised student lectures on significant aspects of the building. The central library's sectional complexity and functional organization intrigued me, I explored the innovative design approaches employed by Uttam Jain in the third module. The analysis involved studying the building based on form, circulation, and site parameters to comprehend the complexity of the construction process and facilitate understanding of the building for others.
