Digital Cultures refers to the knowledge, beliefs, and practices of people interacting on digital networks that may recreate tangible-world cultures or create new strains of cultural thought and practice native to digital technology and networks.
This Directed Research project aims to understand the relationship between Design and Digital Technology. The relationship should be understood as bi-directional and transformational. The project will attempt to highlight the mediums, capabilities that enable them (technology or design). Having done so, how do these Digital designs impact ecology and human life? The important focus should be to include a conceptual component that will enhance the value of research at the faculty of design. This component will evaluate the technologies used to address
and solve real-world problems and how these technologies allow us to invent new designs.
