Plastic waste is an issue at a global as well as national level. There are various concepts that have come up to help combat with the various problems that the exponential rise in plastic production, consumption has caused. One of these concepts is a ‘Net Zero Plastic City’. This study aims at proposing an acceptable definition for a Net zero plastic city and formulating an analytical framework that can be used for the transition of an Indian city into Net Zero Plastic Cities. The analytical framework is demonstrated for the pilot city of Ahmedabad.
