Assessing the status of EWS and Green Space plots in the TP Schemes within AMC.
Town Planning Schemes have been used as the mechanisms for implementation of the Development Plans and managing peripheral expansion of the cities. In addition to laying out the street network, reserving land for public amenities, identifying saleable plots etc., TP Schemes, also earmarks land for development of housing for economically weaker sections, and for the development of public greens and open spaces.
Several TP Schemes have been planned and implemented within the AMC Jurisdiction over the past decades. The research shall undertake an analysis of what was planned in the TP Schemes vis a vis actual development on site on these plots.
