The Indian government is taking multiple initiatives to facilitate the flow of goods with the development of the infrastructure sector. The developments are taking place for all the modes including roadways, inland waterways, and railways providing a transporter with multiple supply route/mode alternatives The Government of India has also recently initiated PM Gati Shakti Programme. The objective of Programme is to integrate planning and coordinate implementation of various modal infrastructure connectivity projects in the country. This would likely provide opportunities for the seamless transportation of goods, especially through multi-modal connectivity.
