Model Framework for Urban Transport Sector Under Climate Action Plan for Indian Cities
The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoFECC), India mandates cities to prepare the climate action plans. Transport sector being responsible for highest greenhouse gas emissions accounting more than 24% of total emissions. Net zero emission and Paris agreement target of keeping temperature rise below 1.5 degree Celsius is not possible under comprehensive approach is followed to curb the climate change.
