Management of waste in zoo is important for the safety and well-being of animals. It is equally important for the community as we are seeing the cases of transmission of dieses from animal/birds to human. There is also risk of plastic waste to animals. The waste generated in the zoo is mostly bio-degradable. If this waste is treated than it can be excellent compost. There is need for feasibility study for treatment of animal waste generated from zoo. There is need to dispose of the residue in environmentally friendly way.The study can also be useful to waste management in national parks.
