The Living Palimpsest: Memory, Material & Meaning.

This project redefines conservation as a dynamic process that reflects the past while adapting to a changing society. It views spaces as storytellers, where materiality bridges time, blending memory with innovation. Instead of freezing history, the approach layers it, creating overlapping timelines and new narratives for future generations. By embracing complexities and diverse, even conflicting, histories, the project seeks to balance the significance of the past with present demands and future possibilities. Spaces are honored as memory bearers, enabling every generation to contribute to their evolving story, ensuring they remain relevant, dynamic, and reflective of a shared heritage.
