CRAFTING SPACES: INSPIRED BY VEENA MAKERS

The site, located in Thanjavur, is rectangular in shape and oriented at a 30° angle to the north. This unique orientation influenced the spatial layout and the overall design strategy, ensuring the structure interacts seamlessly with its surroundings. Modular Design Philosophy The design is structured around a modular framework, with the module size derived from the anthropometric measurements of Veena makers. This approach ensures the spaces are ergonomically designed, offering comfort and usability tailored to the specific needs of artisans. The modularity allows for flexible spatial arrangements, reflecting both practicality and cultural relevance.
