Life in parks: a qualitative study of Small Urban Parks of West Ahmedabad

This particular study aims to understand the positive correlation of perceived park quality with the frequency of visits to small urban parks. The perceived values are to be studied from the physical design of the park through its visual character, natural resources, amenities, security, cleanliness, and maintenance. The broader objective is also to help identify and better plan urban parks to increase the frequency of park visitors, and hence have a positive impact on the health and well-being of citizens. The DRP is the continuation of a perception-based study on urban parks taken up by the landscape program faculty over the last few years.
