Antiquity

The MAT program emphasized the expressive potential of structure, exploring the interplay between structure, construction, and space. The foundation studio developed tectonic skills by elevating construction details to architectural form, using extensive prototyping and scaled models to study force, material behavior, and system clarity. Divided into three parts—digital fabrication, kinetic facade systems, and spanning systems—they all contributed in understanding of architectural detailing of different scales and human interactions, culminating in the design of a 200 meter tall high-rise.
