Structured around the key concepts of digital fabrication, kinetic expansion, systems and high-rise architecture, the primary concern of these studio exercises was tectonic and systems detailing. This re-wiring of the typical architectural design process shifted the focus back to fundamental elements often overlooked. Through a highly iterative and hands-on modelling process, construction and fabrication details were broken down to digestible scales, and resolved into larger, more efficient systems, eventually unravelling the layered bigger picture and developing stronger, distinct architectural languages of expression.
